Healthy Bones Program
PhysioMax Wellness is excited to offer our Healthy Bones exercise program. This program is designed to help those with osteoporosis improve bone health and strength. It will also help to decrease risks of fractures with bone-safe exercises. Run by our personal trainer and kinesiologist, Julia de Reijke, it is personalized to your goals and can be accessed through Private Health Care Benefits. Please contact us for more information about when we will be offering fitness programs and lectures.
To begin the program, you will have an assessment appointment with one of our physiotherapists. This will consist of health history questions, discussing your level of osteoporosis and what your goals are. Next, you will meet with our kinesiologist to assess your fitness level, talk about your fitness goals and work together to create a program that you agree with. Everyone is different and everyone’s fitness level is different so there is no pressure to complete exercises that are too difficult for you and we are also more than capable of creating more challenging programs for individuals that are exetremely active. We will modify our program that consists of posture, strengthening, balance and aerobic exercises to best suit your lifestyle and fitness level.
